The NextWave team comprises high-caliber Financial Services industry change leaders, including ex-MDs from top-tier firms and new talent. We are the consulting partner of choice for leading FinTechs, Banking, Asset & Wealth Management, Insurance, and Market Infrastructure clients.


We are looking to hire consultants for our Asset & Wealth Management practice. Ideal candidates will have extensive business analysis experience working with leading Asset Managers or with Consultancies and/or Software vendors to the industry. Project Management experience is also desirable.



Desired Experience 


  • Senior business analyst (potentially possessing project management skills)
  • Asset Management OMS experience (Charles River, BBG AIM preferred)
  • Knowledge of tax lot methodologies, practices and technological implementations
  • Knowledge of liquidity and fixed income products
  • Experience in process and data mapping end to end (execution through to settlement and reporting)
  • Experience in management of third party vendors/service providers during complex change programmes

 

Responsibilities


  • Work with our clients to understand their business challenges and problems - undertaking requirements gathering, client interviewing, documentation of processes and process assessment, and effectively communicating these to various audiences.
  • Design and propose potential solutions identifying various pros, cons and risks.
  • Build and execute project plans co-ordinating status, issues, risks and providing clarity to everyone involved of their responsibilities to effectively deliver successful business outcomes under an Agile framework.
  • Construct and define test scenarios and test data to ensure requirements are completely and accurately implement them.
  • Implementation and post-go live support to ensure success of the developed solutions.
  • Contribute to our internally built offerings as we build a collection of best-in-class solutions.
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
  • Actively get involved in the new consulting community.

Candidate Profile (Required)


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Systems Analysis or equivalent financial services industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience
  • MS Office Products (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize competing deliverables.
  • Ability to learn new skills and absorb materials quickly.
  • Excellent Stakeholder management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and evidenced ability to break problems down into logical steps.
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and oral, to clearly communicate status, problems, and requirements.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
  • Ability to work core business hours.
  • Occasional overtime may be necessary.

Candidate Profile (Preferred)


  • Master’s in Business Administration.
  • Data Analysis expertise in Financial Services.
  • Project Lead role as a Business Analyst or Workstream lead.
  • Familiar with Agile project execution
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements associated with mutual funds and the securities industry.
  • Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Middle office operational experience (e.g. corporate action processing, portfolio accounting, compliance, performance analysis and reconciliation).
  • Experience working with Bloomberg, Charles River, Eagle Investment Systems, Dell Boomi, strongly desired.
  • Strong Client Service orientation
  • Ability to construct, document and deliver on business requirements.

Location:

You will be based in the NextWave New York office; Tower 49, Midtown, however travel may be required for client based projects and some projects will be located fully at client office locations.
